The Clé Millet International team upgrades Dreux theater and creates a new hall with a reception / sanitary area, a bar and new administrative offices.
For the expansion of the theater it was necessary to take into consideration the impossibility to join extensions at the North and the need to provide the equipment with an opposite access to the room. It was therefore decided to curettage previous annexes badly crafted rear facade to upgrade the facade.
This light structure intervention will reinterpret bricks and plaster textures in a contemporary way to endow the equipment with a unified architectural vocabulary and a strong identity. This re-newal will provide transparency on the heart of the city.
In addition, and in view of the potential of the new theater distribution, the City wished to enrich the program by adding municipal cultural services, which would be at the heart of the activities to which they are devoted.
